| Synopsis: |
As the film opens a young girl is thumbing through a family photograph album.
Her childhood memories are brought to life, static pictures begin to move. Memory is transformed into a methaphoric story about the past finally turning into dreams of the future.
The girl tries to draw a picture of herself riding a horse across some imaginary countryside. This motif is drawn throughout the second part of the film. The story consists of four connected sequences-childhood, youth (adolescence), maturity and old age (transition) where the circle closes.
Towards the end most of the elementsof the story are brought together-the old woman, the horse, the painter, the photographs of a family outing...
The young girl from the beginning of the film is picking dandelions which immediately turn into the characteristic seeds to be blown away by the wind. |
